Obituary of Elmer James Ober

Mr. Elmer James Ober, better known as “Jim”, age 73, of Lafayette, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. Funeral services for Jim Ober are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 1 PM, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Wyndom Wix officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in The Eulia Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 4 PM until 8 PM, and on Tuesday, from 10 AM until service time at 1 PM.

Family respectfully requests donations be made toward the funeral expenses.

Jim Ober was preceded in death by his Parents, Elmer Lee Ober and Georgia Ida Philson Ober; Sisters, Valerie Brokus and Georgia Haught; and Brothers, Harry Ober and George Ober.

Eleven Grandchildren, three Great-Granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
