Obituary of Evamae Vaughn

Mrs. Evamae Vaughn, age 89 of Portland, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023 at her residence. Evamae was born on February 6, 1934 in Gallatin, Tennessee to the late George Vaughn and Minnie Bell Vaughn.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Lee Vaughn; granddaughter, Miami Louise Humphrey; brothers, Raymond Vaughn, Billy Joe Vaughn, and George Vaughn.

She is survived by her daughter, Mildred Windham; grandsons, Calvin (Kim) Vaughn and Lawson B. Humphrey; great grandchildren, Chelsey (Michael) Presley, Zacharia (Anah) Vaughn, Jeffdrecas Ladd, and Nathan Vaughn; five great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 18^th at 1:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church in Portland with Reverend Dennis Page officiating. Interment will follow the service at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at Sellars Family Heritage in Portland Thursday, November 16^th from 4:00-8:00 PM and Friday, November 17^th from 4:00-8:00 PM. Visitation on Saturday, November 18^th from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM will be at New Hope Baptist Church in Portland.
