Obituary of Joyce Wix

Mrs. Joyce Wix, 75, of Westmoreland, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. Joyce was born on September 27, 1948 to William and Maybell Lyles. Funeral Services for Joyce are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 1 PM from New Zion General Baptist Church with Brother David Scruggs and Brother Brandon Mahaney officiating. Interment will follow in the New Zion Cemetery with Chris Meador, James Lee Cornwell, Brandon Mahaney, Kason Wix, Zack Reed and Tracy Brawner serving as pallbearers. Landon Wix and Caiden Childs will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 12 PM until 9 PM, and on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 9 AM until 12 PM. We will be leaving for the Church in procession at 12:15. Along with her parents, Joyce was also preceded in death by her great-grandson, Riggins Knox Reed. She is survived by; husband, Harold Wix; children, Jeffery Wix, Kamala Wix, Teddy (Tammy) Wix, and Tracy Wix; grandchildren, Lindsey Wix, Landon Wix, Jory (James Lee) Cornwell, Morgan (Brandon) Mahaney, Kason (Hannah) Wix, Kinli (Zack) Reed, and Journie Wix; great-grandchildren, Caiden, Omari, Johnross, Dallas Rose, Laikyn, Larsynn, and Krey; special friends and family, Donnie Stewart, Desiree Thompson, Chris and Sharolyn Meador, Kenneth Wilburn, Sylvia Haskins, and Mike Hudson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
