Obituary of Michael Leon Sadler

Mr. Michael Leon Sadler aka Uncle Michael, age 51 of Cottontown, Tennessee passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at his residence. Michael was born on March 17, 1972 in Gallatin, Tennessee to Melvin Sadler and Gloria Link.

Michael never met a stranger. He loved his family, hunting and being outdoors. He was Uncle Michael to so many, whether it was Panther football, Panther baseball, archery, or countless 4H’ers across the state. He has touched so many young people’s lives. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Link; paternal grandfathers, James Sadler and Robert Sadler; maternal grandparents, Tom and Ruth Link.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Donna Sadler; children, Michelle Sadler and Jeremy Sadler; father, Melvin (Teresa) Sadler; brother, Shawn (Michelle) Bowers; paternal grandmother, Wanda Sadler; aunts, Marilyn (Ray) Reece, Janie (Jerry) Long, and Judy (Barry) Hawkins; nieces, Addy Riggsbee, Bailey Hester, Tori Lowe, Chevie Hester, Elnora Hester; nephews, Ethan Todd, Austin Riggsbee, Blake Riggsbee, Mason Hester, Aiden Hester, Scooter Hester, and Brantley Hester; great niece, Bella; great nephews, Truitt, Archie, and Layne; fur babies, Teddy and a flock of sheep.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 24^th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Mike Callis and Bro. Gary Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jake Link Cemetery with Aiden Hester, Ethan Todd, Scooter Hester, Austin Riggsbee, Seth Robertson, Corey Freeman, Ryan Hackney, and Lightning Graves serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Friday, February 23^rd from 4:00-9:00 PM and Saturday, February 24^th from 10:00 AM until service time at 3:00 PM.
