Obituary of James Wesley Dickens

Born May 4, 1942, devoted husband of 40 years and beloved father James W. Dickens passed away in his home on July 7, 2015 at age 73 after having chronic health problems. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is 2 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home followed by interment in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kenneth Roberts, Russell Loftis, Tracy Harper, James Dale Harper, Will Stafford, and Stacy Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers: John Dickens, David Dickens, and Wesley Dickens. Mr. Dickens is survived by children: Robert (Sandy) Dickens, Elizabeth (Tony) Thompson, Peggy (Jeff) Stafford, Lynn (Kenneth) Roberts, Linda (Tracy) Harper, and Elizabeth (Russell) Loftis; grandchildren: James, Will, Shelby, Jacob, Ashley, Becky, Stacy, Curtis, Timothy, and Daniel; and great-grandchildren: Bryant, Haley, Mollie, Zackary, Aria, Kayla, Collin, Sierra, and Emma. He is preceded in death by wife Ruth R. Dickens, parents Lelai M. and Wesley A. Dickens, brothers Bobby Dickens Jr. and Bobby Gene Dickens, sister Willie M. Denney, and great-grandchild Tristan L.
