Obituary of Hester Brown Tucker

Hester Brown Tucker, age 97 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 28th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Rev. Ted Bane officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Doug Marshall, Drew Tucker, Stephen Tucker, Brian Callis, Chris Parker, John Park, Brandon Barlow, and Morris Holleman serving as pallbearers, with special Honorary Pallbearer, Josh Tucker. Visitation will be Monday, April 27th from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Tucker was born November 23, 1917 in Sumner County to the late Noel Brown and Alma Franklin Brown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband S. A. "Shine" Tucker, Jr.; grandson, Josh Tucker; brother, Milton Brown; and sister, Lovie Proctor. She is survived by sons, Steve Tucker (Linda) of Gallatin, Tommy Tucker (Karen) of Gallatin, and Andy Tucker (Sherry) of Gallatin; daughter, Bettie Jane Marshall of Gallatin; 8 grandchildren, Doug Marshall (Jonna), Carole Parker (Chris), Drew Tucker (Amy), Amanda Callis (Brian), Carrie Park (John), Julia Barlow (Brandon), Rachel Holleman (Morris), and Stephen Tucker (Caitlyn Wilson); and 14 great-grandchildren.
