Obituary of Patricia A. Monohan Henkel

Pat Monohan Henkel, age 67, passed away on June 8, 2010 after an extended illness. Ms. Henkel was born on November 4, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee where she attended St. Anne"s parochial school and St. Bernard Academy. She was a Registered Nurse for nearly 50 years after graduating from St. Thomas School of Nursing in Nashville in 1963 and served at McFarland and University Medical Center Hospitals for 35 years in Lebanon. Pat was blessed with a strong Catholic faith, and was an active parishioner at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Mourned by many friends and coworkers, Ms. Henkel"s survivors included her three children: Karen Golden, Eric (Mary J.) Henkel, and Stephen (Angie) Henkel; sister: Bridget (Fred) Powers; brothers: William D. Monohan and Michael (Anita) Monohan; grandchildren: Carri and Allyssa Golden, Patrick, Jess, Kate, Stephen II, Anna, and Jake Henkel. She is also survived by father-in-law: Augustine J. Henkel; niece: Christina Odum; great-nephew: Price Tramel; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband John Kenneth Henkel and parents William D. and Ethel Anderson Monohan. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 10th and from 3-8 p.m. on Friday. A Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A Requiem Mass will be held by Father Michael O"Bryan and Father Zacharias Payikat at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010. Interment in Calvary Cemetery immediately following the service. Pallbearers: Thomas Monohan, Barry Fitts, Fred Powers, Edward Robinson, Tommy Duke, and Adrian Fung. Honorary Pallbearers: "Fabulous Five Friends" Cory Carillo Landsden, Mary Ann Long Baltz, Therese Doyle Luken, Sandy Crumpton Robinson, and Susan Austin-Crumpton, and her many friends and co-workers at University Medical Center and McFarland Specialty Hospital.
