Obituary of J.W. Smith

James Winter "J.W." Smith passed away on August 22, 2012 at age 77. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon (at Stone Mansion, 416 Rome Pike) on Saturday from 12-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until the service. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars and Brother Bernie Zielsdorf, is 2 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2012. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers: James Smith, Charles Smith, Charles Moss, Timothy Smith, Joseph Chaney, Cole Cottrell, Daniel Dawson and Billy "Tadpole" Brewer. Survivors include children James "Steve" Smith, Charles (Vickie) Smith, Nancy (Renn) Cottrell, and Mary Brown, all of Lebanon; sisters: Louis Rich and Dorothy (Bill) McNeal; brother: Henry "Rooster" (Fyia) Smith; sister-in-law: Francis Smith; special cousin: Dorothy (Matthew) Brewington; step-children: Jackie Tittle, Jerry Tittle, Rudy (Tammy) Tanner, Darlene (Doug) Jenkins, Theresa (Rick Perry) Stephens; caregiver: Billy "Tadpole" Brewer; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by wife Annie Mae Smith, parents Sadie Mae McIntrye and Henry German "H.G." Smith, brothers Bobby Smith and John Smith, sisters Leila Owen Griffin, Annie Mae Lehew, and Diane Dryden, and brother-in-law Roger Brown.
