Obituary of Elizabeth Reed Tatum

Elizabeth Tatum passed away on December 17, 2010 at age 87. She was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a member of the Scotty Camping Club. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 19th and at Immanuel Baptist Church from noon until the service on Monday. The service, conducted by Brother John Hunn, Brother Danny Sellars, and Brother Judd Sellars, is at Immanuel Baptist Church 1 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2010. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Donnie Hamilton, John Harlin, Greg Eggleston, Rip "Pet Monkey" Fuqua, Charles Hall, John Ballinger, and Pete Bush. Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Kenneth Anderson, Barry Ellis, Carl Jones, Dan Coley, and Dick Gillespie and special thanks to staffs of UMC"s ICU, UMC"s 1st Floor, Care All, and Odyssey Hospice, and friends at the Dept. of Human Services. Survivors include husband of 65 years, Charlie Tatum; daughters: Linda (Wayne) Thompson and Charlene (Jimmy) Ballinger; son: Steve (Jackie) Tatum; five grandchildren: Johnny (Tresa) Ballinger, Christy (Jack) Cook, Brian (Mary) Thompson, Justin Tatum, and Brooke Tatum; 2 great-grandchildren: Brilee Thompson and Jennifer (Allen) Ferguson; 1 great-great grandchild: Colton Ballinger; special friend: Annie Mary Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Arthur and Addie VanHook Reed Sr., sisters Marvine Reed, Thelma Reed, Irene Reed, brothers Joe Reed, Odell Reed, Hershel Reed, Arthur Reed Jr., and grandson Stan Ballinger.
