Obituary of Harold Sempsrott

Hal Sempsrott went to be with his Lord on Monday, November 14, 2011 at age 86. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 5 p.m. until the service on Thursday. The Memorial Service is 7 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011. Inurnment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery in Norris City, Illinois at a later date. Memorial Contributions: Alive Hospice, Gideons International, First Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice. Mr. Sempsrott was born in Central Illinoise on November 24, 1925. He retired as a Department Supervisor for Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation in 1985 after 38 years. He was a Baptist his entire life, currently a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon, Tennessee. He was a United States Navy veteran of WWII, an avid golfer, fisherman, organist, and ballroom dancer. Mr. Sempsrott is preceded in death by parents Fred and Ovie Jo Sempsrott, brothers Cloyce, Virgil, Victor, and Byrl, sister Freda, and son Thomas. Survivors include wife of 61 years, Correne Johnson Sempsrott; son: Stephen (Marshelia) Sempsrott; daughter: Denise (Lamar) Cannon; adopted children: David (Cindy) Sempsrott and Nancy Ellen (Ronald) Markle; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister: Niola Behling.
