Obituary of Joe D. Graves

GRAVES, Joe D., age 70 of Mt. Juliet passed away May 14, 2014. Mr. Graves was a member of the Center Chapel church of Christ. He enjoyed farming and agriculture. Mr. Graves was preceded in death by father, Elmer Graves. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Juanita Graves; mother, Bertha Graves; children, Debbie (Ricky) Tignor, Jody (Gayla) Graves and Bryan (Angie) Graves; brothers, Allen (Barbara) Graves and Larry (Gayle) Graves; grandchildren, Amanda Briley, Jesse Tignor, Blake Tignor, Bri Graves and Amber Graves; great-grandchild, Kody Graves; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16th at 2pm at Center Chapel church of Christ with Bro. Andy Connelly, Bro. Darrell Duncan and Bro. Johnny Brown officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Jesse Tignor, Blake Tignor, Tim Graves, Greg Graves, Mike Graves, Chris Peercy and Michael Hughes serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: the Elders and Deacons at Center Chapel church of Christ, Jimmy Sharpe, Paul Gentry, Jimmy Rice, Browning Fuller, Buddy Mires and the Mt. Juliet Class of 1961. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, May 15th from 12-8 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet and Friday, May 16th from 12-2 pm at the church.
