Obituary of Mabel Lounett Hight Tayes

TAYES, Mabel Lounett Hight, 88, of Hermitage, TN was born August 10, 1925 and entered into eternal rest September 29, 2013. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church for 70 years. She was married July 31, 1943 to James Clarence Tayes. Lounett was preceded in death by husband, James Clarence Tayes; parents, Grady & Rebecca Hight; sisters, Vallie Lohman and Carmene Eakes; and granddaughter, Becky Tayes. She is survived by sons, Tony Tayes, Joey Tayes and Jeff (Angelia) Tayes; grandchildren, Steve Tayes, Scottie Tayes, Latisha (Blake) Hall and Annette (Buddy) Crunk; and great-grandchildren, Kain and Micah Hailey and Lyric Johnson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2nd at 1pm at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Bro. James Rowlett officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Steve Tayes, Scottie Tayes, Blake Hall, Buddy Crunk, Bryan Baldwin, Steve Hagar, Ronny Skully and Zillon Felts serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: Harold Anderson, Joe Low, Eugene Tayes, Jerry Tayes, Mike Tayes, John Carr, Mitchell Smith, Mike Richardson, Dave Foster, Jr., Johnny George and Elrick Daly. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 1st from 10am to 8pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet and Wednesday, October 2nd from 9am to 1pm at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
