Obituary of Robert Poe

POE, Robert L., of Franklin, passed away November 2, 2014 at the age of 81. Bob was the recipient of the 1990 Patron's Award of the Heritage Ball. He was also a member of the Franklin Rotary Club and the Battlefield Region Antique and Classic Car Club and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by wife of 44 years, Sally G Poe. Survived by wife, Darlene L. Poe; brother, Myron Poe; sisters, Janet Christenson and Linda Grury; children, Debra Joyce (Sam) Edwards, Shearer Spears, Bob (Julie) Poe, Mike Tisdale, James (Annette) Poe and Cooper (Nydia)Tisdale; grandchildren, Dylan Spears, Becky Sellars, Samantha Granstaff, Sara Rose, Kellie Davenport, Kristen Monterrosa, and Capt. Robert K Poe; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Foundation, 510 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 6th at 2pm at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church with Dr. Sally Hughes, Rev. David Hesson & Rev. Danny Sellars. Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Cemetery on Friday, November 7th in Attalla, AL with Family & Friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 5th from 4-8 pm at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
