Obituary of Gladys M. Downs

Gladys M. Downs, age 86 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, April 5th, 2015. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 8th at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Michael Nesbitt and Elder Leon White officiating. Interment will follow in Gallatin City Cemetery with Billy Givens, Charles Brown, Gary Brown, Tommy Hiett, Cordis Russell, and Jerry Russell serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7th from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday April 8th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Downs was born November 19, 1928 in Wilson County to the late Nay Franklin Craig and Lottie Duke Craig. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Clarence Downs, and brother, Baxter Craig; and sister, Sarah Margaret Craig. She is survived by son Frankie Downs of Gallatin; daughter, Ann Johnson of Hartsville; grandchildren, Billy Givens, Jr. (Tracey), Michelle Perkins; and great-grandson, Elijah Perkins.
