Obituary of Donovan Buchanan Walden

WALDEN, Donovan Buchanan, age 23, born January 9, 1991, Donovan Walden passed away peacefully at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital on January 30, 2014 after succumbing to illness. He will be dearly missed. Donovan Buchanan Walden is survived by his parents, Preston and Deborah Walden of Mt. Juliet, TN. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Lois Walden of Mt. Juliet, TN and Robert and Reba Davis of Waverly, TN. Throughout his youth he was involved in Mt. Juliet Challenger Little League Baseball, Tennessee Special Olympics and the Shooting Stars Basketball League. In 2008, he was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award by Empower Me Day Camp in Lebanon, TN. His other interests included bluegrass music, hunting, fishing and camping. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Empower Me Day Camp, P. O. Box 672, Lebanon, TN 37088. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2nd at 1pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. David Shannon officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
