Obituary of Elton Clay McDole

Elton Clay McDole, age 87 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Doyle Farris and Brother Brian Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, March 29th from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., and Monday from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mr. McDole was born July 15, 1927 in White House, TN. to the late Clarence McDole and Susie Greer McDole. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by step-father, James Roberson; brothers, Robert McDole and Clay McDole; and sisters Willie May Smith and Edna John. He is survived by wife Dorothy McCullough McDole of Gallatin; son, Ronald McDole (Elisa) of Gallatin; daughters, Shirley Teeple (Bobby) of Hartsville and Stacy Harper of Gallatin; 5 grandchildren, Amber Presley (Donnie), Jake McDole, Jeff McDole (Lori), Jennifer Sisco (Andy), and Carley Harper; 4 great-grandchildren, Blake McDole, Baylee McDole, Crosby Sisco, and Caleb Presley. Mr. McDole was with Kraft Foods for 20 years, Vic Jenkins for 20 years, and Nannie Berry Elementary for 20 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Potter Children's Home in Bowling Green, KY. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.info.
