Obituary of James Fred Durham

James Fred Durham, Jr., age 83 of Bethpage, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Funeral Service will be Friday, March 13th at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Guthrie Thompson and Brother Kenneth Woodall officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Bridge Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday, March 12th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. and Friday, March 13th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Durham was born November 10, 1931 in Sumner County, TN, son of the late James Fred Durham, Sr. and Annie Mae Durham. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Letha Ada Brooks and Bonnie Baskerville; brothers, Howard Lyn Durham, Willard Glen Durham and Kenneth Durham. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jewel Lee Durham; daughter, Judith Stubblefield and Harry; granddaughter, Sandra Carr and Eric, grandson, Daniel Stubblefield and Amanda; great grandchildren, Andrew Carr, James Stubblefield, Gracie Stubblefield and Emily Stubblefield; sisters, Jean Hopkins, Betty Jenkins, Janice Case and Dianna Williams; brother, Bobby Durham, Sr.; aunt, Annie Nokes; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Durham was a member of Rock Bridge Missionary Baptist Church since 1956 and a 55 year member of the Bethpage Masonic Lodge.
