Obituary of William Evert

Corky Evert passed away on January 1, 2010 at age 81. He was a US Navy veteran, a member of the Hickory Ridge Church of Christ, and employed by Atlantic Envelope. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2010 and from 11 a.m. until service on Monday. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Ron Hackney, is 2 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010. Entombment in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum immediately following the service. Pallbearers: Derek Evert, Timothy Evert, David Evert, William Evert, James Evert, and Gordon Wooden. Honorary Pallbearers: grandchildren. Survivors include wife of 59 years, Faye Evert; children: Derek (Shirley) Evert, Pamela (Gordon) Wooden, Timothy (Cathy) Evert, David (Melody) Evert, William Kenneth (Marjorie) Evert, and James (Cindy) Evert; brother: George (Edie) Evert; 15 grandchildren: Colin Evert, Scott Mitchell, Brian Mitchell, Craig Mitchell, Tansy Hadley, Robert Curtis Wooden, Maggie Pingatore, Rachel Evert, Paul Evert, Jill Evert, Kelsey Evert, Bridget Evert, Chad Evert, Cody Evert, and Annie Evert; and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents Edward and Anna Fischer Evert, siblings Edward, Alois, Ernest, and Eugene Evert, and grandson Matthew Evert.
