Obituary of Truman Walter Shahan

Truman Shahan, Sr. passed away on August 19, 2008 at age 84. He served in the US Army and Air Force for 18 years in WWII and retired from TRW/Ross Gear. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 2-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is 2 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Survivors include children: Truman (Elizabeth) Shahan, Jr. of Lebanon, Carson Shahan of Georgetown TN, Frenchie Shahan of Cleveland TN, and Glenda Davis of Lebanon; sisters: Savannah Runyan and twin Gertrude "Perk" Hickman; grandchildren: Walter (Rebekah) Shahan, Daniel Shahan, Jennifer (Daniel) Demay of Hartsville, and Rebecca (Lance) Troutt of Hartsville; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Walter Lee and Lula Stinnett Shahan, wife Gladys Shahan, daughter Kay Carver, brothers Elmer Shahan, Freeland Shahan, and Windell Shahan, and sisters Virginia Cofer and Linnie Cofer.
