Obituary of Seth O'Neal Williams

O"Neal Williams passed away on August 8, 2011 at age 85. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from noon until the service on Wednesday. The chapel service, conducted by Dr. Jonathan Richerson, is 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers: Mark Thorne, Ricky Thorne, Gary Thorne, Cliff Carey Jr., Tommy Halbert, Jerry Baty, Jeremy Leasure, and Bobby Desimone. Honorary Pallbearers: American Legion Post 15, James McCrary, Alan Foutch, Gene Rowland, Billy "War" Reese, Robert Thorne, Mark Tomlinson, Tony Taylor, Kevin McFadden, Joe Thompson, and employees of Wilson County Motors. Memorial Donations: Fairview Church(1660 Leeville Pike, Lebanon TN 37087) and West Haven Baptist Church (5860 Lebanon Rd, Lebanon TN 37087). Mr. Williams was owner of Lebanon Salvage Company and Mitzi"s Craft Korner in Lebanon. He was a United States Army veteran of WWII where he served in the Battle of the Bulge in the 75th Infantry and was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Victory Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. He had the European African Middle Eastern service medal with 3 bronze stars. He was a member of Fairview Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Williams was an advocate of Big Brothers. Survivors include wife of 59 years, Bobbie Williams; two daughters: Wanda Crook and Cindy (Mark) Thorne; two sons: Billy (Cyndee) Williams and Danny (Terri) Williams; grandchildren: Mitzi (Jeremy) Leasure, Marci (Cliff) Carey Jr., Molly Thorne, and numerous other grandchildren; great-grandchildren: Maddison McFadden, Jeremiah Leasure, and Emma Carey. He is preceded in death by parents Joseph and Lula Belle Rollins Williams, four sisters, three brothers, and son-in-law Andy Crook.
