Obituary of Betty Joyce Blackburn

Betty Joyce Blackburn passed away on October 1, 2014 at age 80. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday from 1 p.m. until service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother George Wallace and Brother Danny Sellars, is 2 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2014. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery will follow the service. Mrs. Blackburn is survived by children: Kenny Blackburn, Stephen Blackburn, Cheryl Cutlip, Jaycen (Lori) Blackburn, and Lydia Howard; sons and daughters-in law: Betty Brummett, James Brewer, Shelby Hulse McIntyre, and Joanie Blackburn; sister: Annie (Cecil) Williamson; brothers: Harvey (Martina) Hulse and Sammie Wayne (Carolyn) Hulse; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren: several nieces and nephews; and 4 special daughters-in-love, "The Ashe Girls". She is preceded in death by husband of 55 years J.C. Blackburn, daughter Beverly Palk,daughter-in-law Patricia Blackburn, parents Lydia and McKinnley Hulse, and brother Clifton Hulse.
