Obituary of Kathy Phyllis Steinson

Kathy Steinson passed away on May 20, 2015 in her home, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 62. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, from 4-8 p.m. on Friday. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Tom Suiter and Brother John Hunn, is 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Immanuel Baptist Church (214 Castle Heights, Lebanon TN), with visitation from noon until the service. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery will follow the service. Pallbearers: Glenn Chambers, Walker Woods, Trent Turner, Grant Chambers, Zachary Horne, and Alex Logan Horne. Special thanks to members of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Steinson enjoyed gardening, reading, Bible Study and spending time with her family over a good meal. She worked as a nurse at Vanderbilt for over a decade, and as school nurse at Sam Houston Elementary, where she was loved by her students. She battled leukemia for almost 14 years. Mrs. Steinson is survived by: husband of almost 40 years, Robert Steinson; daughters: Amber (Walker) Woods, Megan Turner; stepdaughters: Nora (Glenn) Chambers, Anne Horne; sisters: Jenny Sewell, Mary (Paul) Abercrombie; grandchildren: Dawson Turner, Carter Turner, Lily Kate Woods, Jacob Woods; and step grandchildren: Lauren Chambers (David) Crotzer, Erin Chambers (Alfred) Stewart, Whitney Horne, Grant Chambers, Zachary Horne, Alex Logan Horne, Aiden Woods.
