Obituary of Katherine D. Hawkins

Katherine Hawkins passed away on September 8, 2014 at age 87. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Danny Sellars, is 11 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Interment in Wilson County Memorial following the service. Pallbearers: Jeff Wrye, Jason Long, Mike Fleming, Ronnie Sellars, Billy Sellars, and Bobby Thompson. The family extends a special thank you to Mrs. Hawkins' caregivers, the staff at The Pavilion, and her loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make Memorial Donations to St. Jude Children's Research (262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis TN 38105). Mrs. Hawkins is survived by children: Jess (Lynn) Hawkins and Becky (Kenneth) Trusty; grandchildren: Lori Wells, Tina (Kevin) Davenport, Lauren (Jason) Long, and Jessica (Jeff) Wrye; and brother: James (Marie) Roberts. She is preceded in death by husband J.E. Hawkins, grandson Rodney Ethan Hawkins, parents Dow and Nola Carr Roberts, sisters Vivian Mehok, Lucille Warren, Mairean Polvino, Nelda Sellars, Dowlene Moscato, Beatrice Brown, and brothers Bobby Roberts and Billy Roberts.
