Obituary of William Delton Vanatta

William Vanatta, age 72, passed away on December 21, 2013. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the service on Monday. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Joe Johnson, is 2 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013. Interment in Wilson County Memorial immediately following the service. Pallbearers: Randy Slager, Ronnie Garrison, Jim Griffies, Jim Green, Mike Williams, and Don Hamilton. Honorary Pallbearers: Fellow members of Deacon Body Calvary, and the Adult II Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist. Memorial Donations: Calvary Baptist Building Fund (1702 Sparta Pike, Lebanon TN 37090). Mr. Vanatta was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, a hobby farmer, and had been a diesel mechanic in Lebanon for many years. Survivors include wife of 54 years, Pat Hamilton Vanatta; children: Teresa Greer, Debbie (Bobby) Davenport, and Mike Vanatta; sisters: Lucille (Hoyte) Garrison and Brenda (David) Denney; grandchildren: Michael (Gloria) Granstaff, Chris Granstaff, Jordan Greer, Rachel Vanatta, and Sydney Vanatta; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents William Delton and Ruth Hunt Vanatta, Sr., sisters Lois Gregory and Lera Walden, and brother Ray Donald Vanatta.
