Obituary of John E. Peklinsky

PEKLINSKY, John E., aka "John Peck", "Beep" and "JP", age 49, passed away April 18, 2008. Preceded in death by parents, William and Vera Mae Peklinsky; sister, Gina Jill Peklinsky. Mr. Peklinsky is survived by wife, Jennifer Harshman Peklinsky; children, Cody, Meghan, Shasta, Caleb and Conner Charlton; brothers, William (Donna) Peklinsky and James "Jamie Peck" (Monica) Peklinsky; nephews, Liam, Nathan and Alex Peklinsky. John was a member of the Cornerstone Church. He was a former drummer for country stars David Ball and Sara Evans touring the US and Europe. He also played with Wild Cherry "Play That Funky Music", The US KIDs, Hey Norton and the Skip Peck Trio. John started playing drums at the age of 8 and at one time was the youngest member of the American Federation of Musicians. He also spent 2 weeks with jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie. Services will be Monday, April 21st at 7 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Jonathan McClanahan officiating. Pallbearers Zane Baxter, John Zovath, Jamie Peklinsky, Caleb Charlton, Conner Charlton, and Brian Mabry. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, April 20th 5 - 8 pm and Monday, April 21st 5 - 7 pm.
