Obituary of John W. Adams

ADAMS, John W., Jr., age 73, of Mt. Juliet, passed away September 23, 2014. A proud Navy Vietnam veteran and patriot, John was a devoted family man, known for his keen wit and generous spirit. As owner and operator of ProtoType Graphics since 1980, he leaves behind many treasured friends and associates. We will miss his infectious laugh and his ability to tell a great story. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by parents, John & Lillian Adams, Sr., and son, Larry Adams. He is survived by wife of 44 years, Carol Adams; son, Bret (Kelly) Snow; grandchildren, Jacob and Taylor Snow; and sister, Lucy McClain. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27th at 12 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Frank Batson and Bro. Jim Biffle officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Garry Smith, Allen Loftis, Mickey Jacobs, Randy Lee, Cliff Taylor, Ronnie Hoffman and Buddy Chapman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: John Templeton, Wayne Savage and Jeff Smith. Visitation with the family will be Friday, September 26th from 4-8 pm and Saturday, September 27th from 10 am until time of service.
