Obituary of Dorothy Jean Hocker

HOCKER, Dorothy Jean, age 90 of Mt. Juliet, passed away November 13, 2013. Dorothy was born in Harrisburg, PA where she grew up and eventually married George, the love of her life. They were married for 66 years until his passing in 2008. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was loved and will be missed dearly by her family. She was preceded in death by husband, George Hocker, Sr.; parents, Robert and Florence Sellers; and son, George Hocker, Jr. Survived by son, Terry (Kathy) Hocker; daughters, Kathy (Vic) Chester and Jill (Don) Herring; daughter-in-law, Jan Hocker; grandchildren, Staci (Mark) Gregory, Terry (Teena) Hocker, Sonya (Michael) Knight, Tanner Herring, Gray Smith, Shannon (Laci) Chester, and Dustin Chester; and great-grandchildren, Grant and Lilli Chester, Ethan and Makenna Gregory, Summer and Hannah Knight, and Tyler, Zachary and Emma Hocker. The family wishes to thank Vickie Desimone, Danette Bailey, Coleen Atkinson, Cindy Fogle and Alive Hospice. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16th at 2pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Bill Wolfenbarger officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
