Obituary of William Macy

William "Bill" Macy, age 72 of Bethpage, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 29, 2015. Memorial service/celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, July 12 at 11 AM at the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church at 2715 Oak Grove Church Rd., Bethpage, TN. Bill was born on March 4, 1943 in Dutchess County, New York to the late Malcolm Dunbar Macy and Lena Meyer Macy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, George Macy and Malcolm Macy; and sister, Betty Damico. He is survived by his spouse of 43 years, Roger Cooper of Bethpage; and sister, Barbara Miller (Carl) of North Carolina; special niece (like a sister) Deborah Barton of Kingston, New York; and several other nieces and nephews. Of course, knowing Bill, he made lots of great friends along the way and he has always thanked God for that blessing. Bill was a member of the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church. He was retired from Saks Fifth Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia and was also a real estate broker in Georgia. Five years ago when he moved to Bethpage, he also became a broker at Crye-Leike in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 2715 Oak Grove Church Road, Bethpage, TN 37022.
