Obituary of James Michael Chumbler

Mike Chumbler, age 53, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James P. and Aulena Alexander of Owensboro, KY and James Cleo and Grace Chumbler of Kevil, KY. He is survived by his parents, James and Janice Chumbler of Lebanon; brother: Steve (Lori) Chumbler of Gladeville; sister: Cyndi Mathis of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephews: Shane Chumbler and Derrick Harper; and little great-nephew: Ryker Chumbler. He was a Christian and a member of Two Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville. He graduated from McGavock High School and was a machinist by trade. In recent months, he has been a devoted caregiver of his parents. The Memorial Service, conducted by Pastor John Hunn and Pastor Barry Butler, is 2 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014, in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Visitation at the funeral home is from 11 a.m. until the service on Saturday. The family requests memorial donations to be made in Mike's memory to the American Heart Association (1818 Patterson St, Nashville TN 37203, 615.340.4100) or to Sherry's Run (PO Box 8, Lebanon TN 37088, 615.925.2592) in lieu of flowers.
