Obituary of Jerry Thomas Rhodes

Jerry Rhodes, age 83, of Lebanon TN, passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Mr. Rhodes was retired from Great Lakes Steel Mill, Michigan, and was an endearing lover of animals and an avid golfer, leaving behind a host of friends and family. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon until the service. The Funeral Service is Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. Interment in Bethlehem Cemetery will immediately follow the service. Pallbearers: Jason and Jeff Toporowski, Jeremy Shope, Tommy, Doug, and Eric Webster. Honorary Pallbearers: Bedford Johnson, Tuesday Morning Senior Scramble at Hunters Point Golf Course. Born in Parsons TN, the son of the late Clarence and Allie Mae Rhodes, he is preceded in death also by brother Ted Rhodes, grandson Evan Pyle, and great-grandson Aaron Sonnenberg. He is survived by wife of 63 years, Katie Rhodes; four daughters: Jennifer Cruz, Marcelle (Tom) Webster, Karen Rhodes, Rita Rhodes, all of Lebanon TN; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Lois Bowman of Parsons TN and Betty (Frank) Tyler of Burlison TN; and many nieces and nephews.
