Obituary of Fred Wiseman Shrum

Fred Wiseman Shrum, age 85 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2015. Funeral Service will be Saturday May 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Shrum officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Mike Hibdon, Danny Hale, Neal Perry, Adam Sircy, Ronnie Hale, and John Hicks serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday May 29th from 2:00 -8:00 p.m. and Saturday May 30th from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mr. Shrum was born February 17, 1930 in Sumner County to the late Wesley Shrum and Annie Mae Hutchinson Shrum. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Carolyn Sircy; granddaughter, Julie Diane Sircy; and 8 brothers. He is survived by wife of 65 years, Bonnie J. Shrum of Gallatin; daughter, Kathleen Shrum Perry of Gallatin; 4 grandchildren, Troy Perry, Skye Perry (Neal), Amy Sircy, and Adam Sircy; 3 great-grandchildren, Kirsten Matthews, Lauren Perry, and Zachary Perry; and 2 great-great grandchildren, Brayden Sykes, and Bentley Skinner. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. Fred retired from Pirelli Tire after 30 years of service.
