Obituary of Michael Fred Parker

Michael Fred Parker, age 59 of Gallatin passed away Thursday May 21, 2015. Funeral Service will be Saturday May 23rd at 3:30 p.m., with Brother Tony Byrd officiating. Interment will be at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday May 22nd from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., and Saturday May 23rd from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. Mr. Parker was born February 2, 1956 in Sumner County to Jewel Stamps Parker and the late Fred Parker. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by son Daniel Parker. He is survived by wife of 38 years, Teresa Huskins Parker; son Dave Parker (fiancé', Greta Vonderheide Hale) of Castalian Springs; mother and father-in law, Andrew and Ann Huskins of Portland; several cousins; 2 brother-in laws; two sister-in-laws; and 7 grandchildren, Samantha Nicole Parker, Brooklyn Danielle Parker, Molly Jewel Parker, Keile Hale, Charlie Hale, Maggie Hale, and Cannon Hale. He worked for the City of Gallatin for 14 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital or The Gideon's International.
