Obituary of Christell Carter

Christell Carter, age 84 of Gallatin, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 8th at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor David Mitchell and Pastor Chet Murrell officiating. Entombment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with James Scott Perry, Larry Wayne Hunt, Danny Mooneyham, Terrell Frizzell, Scottie Parker and Greg Dunnigan serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Dwight Mitchell. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6th from 3:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, May 8th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Carter was born December 23, 1930 in Adolphus, KY, daughter of the late John Henry Collins and Vangie Ann Caldwell Collins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Clyde G. Carter; sisters, Eunice Pruitt, Corrine Hesson, Frances Durham and Shirley Pruitt. She is survived by nieces, Teresa Meador of Gallatin, Charlotte Jenkins of Bethesda, MD, Martha Hunt of Scottsville, KY and Barbara Perry (Leon) of Gallatin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Hazel and Scottie Parker; several great nieces and great nephews. Mrs. Carter worked 45 years at Gary Manufacturing Company. The family wishes to thank all the neighbors for their love and support with a special thanks to friend and neighbor, Betty Janes.
