Obituary of Gary F. Lemmon

Gary F. Lemmon was born on July 19, 1952, and died suddenly on July 6, 2011. Gary is survived by his daughter, Leila Hunt, son-in-law, Bryan Hunt, three grandchildren, Cole, Cody and Sienna, former spouse and friend, Jennifer Lemmon, brother, Ken Garrett, and numerous other extended family and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Estelle Lemmon. Gary was a patriot, and he loved this country and the military. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1973 through 1978 as a Military Policeman and Military Police Investigator in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the U.S. Military Reserves from 1979 through 1990, and was a Heavy Trauma Medical Instructor travelling with the active military�s Mobile Medical Training Team during his last three years of service. From 2008 through 2010 he was in Kabul, Afghanistan working as part of the United States Embassy Security Team. Gary always said that he lived every little boy�s dream, and that he had the privilege of doing everything he ever wanted in life. During the last three years, he spent most of his leisure time travelling through Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. He loved that culture, and the people he met and befriended brought much joy to his life. Gary will be buried with full military honors in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, on McCory Road in Pegram, TN on July 20, 2011 at 1:00 pm. He will be missed.
