Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Neville

Elizabeth Ann Neville passed away on April 7, 2015 at her home in Gallatin, TN with her family by her side. Ann was born on July 5, 1936 and lived in Odell, IL. She is a 1954 graduate of St. Paul's High School in Odell and graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Champaign, IL in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart, Dave Neville, in 1959. Ann and Dave lived in Montana, California, and Illinois before settling in Gallatin, TN in 1974. In addition to raising her 6 children (all of whom graduated from Gallatin Senior High), Ann was very active with the St. John Vianney parish, singing in the choir and serving as organist for over 30 years. A passionate reader, Ann was active in the Rucker Stewart Middle School reading assistance programs for over 20 years. She volunteered at St. John Vianney Catholic School even after her retirement from teaching. In addition to Dave, her husband of nearly 56 years, Ann is survived by her 6 children: daughters Mary (Jeff) Crutcher, Pat (Dan) Guaglianone, Chris Neville, Bridget Neville, Kate (Adam Elhofy) Neville and her son David Neville. She is adored by her 12 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Mary Kathryn, and Barbara Crutcher; Nathan, Gretchen, and Neal Guaglianone; Nick, Lily, Keira, and Charlotte Neville; and Gabe and Liam Elhofy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Thomas Sullivan; her brothers Bill, Jack, Chris, and Mike Sullivan; and her sister, Marcella Hirsh. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Rucker Stewart Middle School Library Fund or the St. John Vianney Catholic School Library Fund. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 9th from 4-8 pm at Family Heritage Funeral Home in Gallatin. The Rosary will be said at 3:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 10th at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Gallatin with The Most Reverend David R. Choby, Bishop of Nashville and The Reverend Stephen Gideon of St. John Vianney as concelebrants.
