Obituary of Herbert Gleaves Poss

Herbert Poss Jr., age 72, passed away on August 6, 2013. He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed being out on the water. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the service on Thursday. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars and Brother Bobby Allen, is 1 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013. Interment in Wilson County Memorial immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Mr. Poss is survived by his wife of 48 years, Renate Poss; mother Omega Irene Davis; sons Robert Michael Poss (Angela), Ricky Poss; daughters Michelle Lasater (Brad) and Rachel Ruiz; and daughter-in-law Rebecca Poss. Grandchildren Derek Cook, Cory Lasater, Steven Reynolds, Nikolas Reynolds, Tiphanie Poss, Levi Reynolds, Christopher Poss, Chelsie Poss, Lucy Lasater, Richard Poss, Nathan Poss and great granddaughter Lily Cook. Sisters and brothers Treva Wade, Eva Ferebee, Patricia Perrien, Shala Walker, Larry and Gary Phillips. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Gleaves Poss, Sr., son Roger Marlon Poss and brother LeRoy Poss.
