Obituary of Billy D. Bass
Billy D. Bass, age 85 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday March 26, 2015. Funeral Service will be Sunday, March 29th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Dallas Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in Gallatin Cemetery with Randy Jones, Barry Anglea, Joshua Gray, Jared Glasscock, Jerry Keith and Brantley Carmouche serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Saturday, March 28th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon until time of service. Billy was born January 26, 1930 in Hartsville to the late William Cecil Bass and Lillian Lee Anthony Bass. He is survived by wife of 42 years, Carol Brantley Bass of Gallatin; daughter, Tracy Shafer (Sanger D. Whitey) of Ridgetop; 4 stepdaughters, Joy Schmidt (Fred) of Frankfort, KY, Brenda Gray of Oak Grove, Jane Burton (Jerry) of Gallatin, and Rebecca Perkins of Hendersonville; sister, Cecile Kemp of Gallatin; Patty Blaylock (Terry) of Antioch, and Debbie Weakland of Nashville. Billy was the owner of Bill's Lawnmower in Gallatin for well over 30 years, he was known as "The Lawnmower Man". Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.info.
