Obituary of Elaine Tang

Elaine Tang was born on October 24, 1962 in Hong Kong to Sau-King Lee and Cheung-Ho Tang. She accepted Christ and was baptized September 9, 2012. Elaine graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor's degree in Translations and Interpretations. Elaine continued her post-secondary education in the U.S. and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Clemson University. Elaine moved to the U.S. in 1989, and she married Chris Lam in 1991. To this union, two children were born, Allison Lam and Alex Lam. Upon graduating from college, Elaine worked in a law firm in Raleigh, NC. She later moved to Kansas City, KS and worked in the legal department of Sprint Corporation. Elaine was a dedicated employee of Cummins Inc. where she worked as an Immigration Specialist since January 2008. She had a true passion for her career, and took great pride in providing excellent support to her customers and colleagues. Elaine lived a wonderful and meaningful life and made a tremendous impact on everyone around her with her positive and energetic attitude. Her cheerful smile and kindred spirit will always remain in our hearts. She was a devoted mother and wife who unselfishly placed her family's interests ahead of her own. Elaine leaves to cherish her memories a devoted and loving husband of 21 years, Chris Lam, daughter, Allison Lam, and son, Alex Lam; mother, Sau-King Lee; eight sisters, Wendy Wong, Miranda Wong who proceeded her in death, Freda Tong, Polly Tang, Karen Koo, Tammy Chan, May-Ling Tang, Wing-Yin Tsang, two brothers, Alain Tang and Wallis Tang, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues whose lives she deeply touched.
