Obituary of Delmar R. Davenport

Delmar Davenport passed away on October 7, 2014, age 72. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Pastor Dan Scott, is 1 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2014. Interment in Bethlehem Cemetery following the service. Mr. Davenport retired from Lifeway and the Lebanon Special School District. He was raised in the LaGuardo Baptist Church and became a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet and Christ Church, Old Hickory Blvd in Nashville. Mr. Davenport is survived by wife Georgia Davenport; children: Kay Seib, Jerry L. (Machelle) Harvey, Tamara Felts, and Teresa Reeves; siblings: Pat (Joe) Pharr, Jewel Davenport, Ann (Bill) Watkins, and Linda (Jerry) Lamb; grandchildren: Madisyn Felts and Emilee Seib; and caregiver and friend: Martha Seay. He is preceded in death by parents Myra Williams and Marvin Davenport, and brother Johnny Davenport.
