Obituary of John Andrew Gann

John Andrew "Andy" Gann, age 77 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 16th at 11:30 a.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Corbin officiating. Interment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens with Melvin Downs, Ryan McFarland, Larry Daniels, David Sisco, Ben Kirsch and Dinky Duffer serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, March 15th from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and Monday, March 16th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Gann was born December 30, 1937 in Daisy, TN, son of the late John Floyd Gann and Henrietta Graves Gann. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, John Clayton Gann. He is survived by daughters, Kimberly Barber Downs (Melvin) of Gallatin and Lauri Elizabeth Gann of Nashville; grandchildren, Jacob Barber, Rachel Barber, Shane Downs (Ashley), Jessica McFarland (Ryan) and Whitney Bryant (Nathan); great grandchildren, Nash Downs, Elliston McFarland, Ethan Bryant, Xander Bryant and Graycee Bryant. Mr. Gann was a 1955 graduate from Red Bank High School in Chattanooga, TN and served in the U. S. Army Reserve. He was the owner of Apache Grounding and retired from Olin Conductors.
