Obituary of Billy Wade Montgomery

Montgomery, Billy W., age 80 of Hartsville, formerly of Mt. Juliet, passed away Saturday, August 29th, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 3rd at 12:00pm in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Chuck Grover and Bro. Richard Patton officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will begin Wednesday, Sept. 2nd from 4:00-8:00pm and continue Thursday, Sept. 3rd from 10:00 until time of service. Mr. Montgomery was born June 8, 1935 in Smith County to the late David and Cynthia Stockling Montgomery. He was very proud of his 3 years of service to his country in the US Army. He was a member of the Hillsdale Baptist Church in Hartsville along with his wife. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Heald Montgomery; children, Cynthia (Rollin) Grossholz, Helen (Bradley) Mead, David H. Montgomery, Rebecca (Monte) Eaton; grandchildren, Andrew (Christina) Grossholz, Heather (Chase) Johnson, Timothy (Amanda) Mead, Sonja Grossholz, Matthew (Ashley) Mead, Rebecca Dixon; 8 Great-Grandchildren; and aunt, Dolly Ward.
