Obituary of Ramie L. Moss, Sr.

Moss, Sr., Ramie L., age 83 of Old Hickory, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Russ Stephens and Bro. Marshall Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will begin Friday, September 11th from 4:00-8:00pm and continue on Saturday from 11:00am until time of service. Mr. Moss was born November 10, 1931 to the late Willie Young and Audrey Rippey Moss in Nashville. He worked as a delivery driver for Mapco Petroleum, and later retired as a delivery supervisor. He had a love of Nascar racing and the outdoors with fishing, gardening, and watching deer in his back yard. He was greatly loved by many and will be missed immensely. Surviving family includes his wife, Lenora Taylor Moss; children, Kim (Daryl) Hill, Tammy Dixon, Kelly (Steve) Miller, Gretchen Melton, Ramie (Dana) Moss, Jr., Aaron (Tina) Moss; sister, Billie Ann Ramsey; brother, Donald Moss, 13 Grandchildren, and 6 Great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society (2000 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37203) or Alive Hospice (1710 Patterson St, Nashville, TN 37203).
