Obituary of Samuel Morrrison Simmons

Samuel Morrison Simmons, age 84 of Hendersonville, passed away October 16, 2015. Funeral Service will be at Eulia General Baptist Church on Monday, October 19th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Eulia Cemtery with nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, October 18th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m.at Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation on Monday, October 19th will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Mr. Simmons was born October 16, 1931 in Macon County, TN, son of the late Lloyd Bertrand Simmons and Gracie Esther Bradley Simmons. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Jasper Clarence Simmons and Lloyd Ray Simmons. He is survived by wife, Faye Marshall Simmons of Hendersonville; son, Philip M. Simmons of Westmoreland; daughters, Penny Simmons of Hendersonville and Pam Kemp (Neil) of Westmoreland; sisters, Annice Jones of Lafayette, Mary Stone of Westmoreland, Wilma Watson (Harold) of Hartsville, Esther Stidham (Bob) of Westmoreland and Ruby Rader (Corbert) of Gordonsville; grandchildren, Tiffany Kemp of Hendersonville and Brittany Holliday (A. J. ) of Castalian Springs; great grandson, Andrew “Deuce” Holliday. Mr. Simmons worked for Pat Bowles Body Shop.
