Obituary of Aaron Lee Overstreet

Aaron Lee Overstreet, age 81 of Portland, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 27th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Flatt officiating. Interment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, October 26th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 27th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Overstreet was born April 11, 1934 in Smith County, TN, son of the late Sam Fowler Overstreet and Toy Ward Vaden Overstreet. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Reed Overstreet; sisters, Allene Regan and Pauline Smith and three grandchildren. He is survived by wife, Marie Marsh Overstreet of Portland; sons, Albert Lee Overstreet (Milli) of Woodbury and Jackie A. Overstreet of Alexandria; daughter, Patsy Bunt (Kenny) of Portland; brothers, Hubert Overstreet (Norma) of Mt. Juliet, Ralston Overstreet of Carthage, Tommy Overstreet (Flora) of Old Hickory; sister, Betty Givens (R. B.) of Carthage and sister-in-law, Margie Overstreet of Nashville. Also, he is survived by three step-children; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mr. Overstreet served in the U. S.
