Obituary of Harold Edward Jenkins

Harold “Yard Dog” Jenkins passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at age 63 after a lengthy illness. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Todd Elliott, is 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers: Tim Cherry, Joey Garman, Mitch Williams, Chuck Lawrence, Sam Burton, and Robert Albert Hemontoler. Harold was a lifelong resident of the LaGuardo Community. He was born to parents Dorothy McDaniel Jenkins and the late Russell “Buddy” Jenkins. He is survived by high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years, Deborah “Debby” Williams Jenkins. They have sons Jonathan Michael Jenkins (Christa) and Jason Matthew Jenkins. They have 5 grandchildren: Jagger and Jett Jenkins, Zack Kerley, Slade Jenkins, and Jacqueline Jenkins. Also surviving are Harold’s brother Randy Jenkins (Traci) and sister Brenda McCarthy (Wade), and best friend Tim Cherry (Diane). Harold was a graduate of Lebanon High School and a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. He was a lifelong farmer and “bull hauler”, trucking nationwide for many years. Harold always said, “If there’s somewhere I need to be that doesn’t allow blue jeans, I really don’t need to be there”. In keeping with his sentiments, the family welcomes blue jeans-and suspenders.
