Obituary of Helen Taylor Gann

Helen Taylor Gann, age 82, of Gallatin, TN passed away November 30, 2015. She was born on August 9, 1933 to the late Elsmer and Annie Mabry Taylor. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Nellie Hassle and Louise Sneed; brothers, Elmer Taylor, James Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Jerry Taylor and Charlie Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dean Gann of Gallatin; sons, Steve Gann (Judy) of Lebanon, TN, and Stuart Gann (Kimberly) of Gallatin, grandsons, Cody Gann (Kaci) and Troy Bond; great grandsons, Noah Gann, Maravich Bond and Jon Rosshirt; sister, Joyce Strother (Johnny) of Cottontown. Helen was a long-time member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ where she also volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She was a real estate agent with Martin Realty House, owned Gann Decorating Center and was the office manager for Dr. Clifford Giles, Dr. Joe Blackshear, Dr. Robert Webster and Dr. David Cox. She is best remembered for her wonderful caring and giving spirit. She was a beloved wife, mother, Nanna, sister and friend and will be missed by all that were blessed to know her. Funeral Service will be at Hartsville Pike Church of Christ at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 with Brother Doyle Farris, Brother Brian Jarrett and Brother Stephen Russell officiating. Entombment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2nd from 4:00-8:00 pm. at Family Heritage Funeral Home and Thursday, December 3rd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Pallbearers will be Ronald Gann, Cody Gann, Mike Taylor, Kenneth McDuffee, Harsh Draper and Tom Strother. Honorary Pallbearers include Bob Lannom, Tom Hughes, Wallace Watts, Robert Jones, Gilbert Cooper, Joe Taylor and Elders of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ.
