Obituary of James Lloyd Loftis

James Lloyd Loftis, age 89 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday December 6, 2015. Funeral Service will be Tuesday December 8th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with pastor Guthrie Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday December 7th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday December 8th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Loftis was born January 19, 1926 in Jackson County, TN, to the late S. Q. Loftis and Dora Medlin Loftis. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, Willie Loftis, Johnnie Loftis, and Austin Loftis; and sisters, Mary Loftis, Lora Loftis, Lillie May Loftis, and Zora Dee Loftis Gregory. He is survived by wife of 64 years, Velma Thompson Loftis; daughter, Wanda Loftis Jones (Mike) of Gallatin; granddaughter, Jennifer Jones of San Francisco, California; and nieces and nephews.
