Obituary of Darrell Eugene Turner

Darrell Turner, age 91, of Lebanon, went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2016 in the presence of family at his home. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor John Hunn at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Immanuel Baptist Church (214 Castle Heights Ave) in Lebanon TN. The family will be receiving friends at the church from noon until the service. Interment in Wilson County Memorial will follow the service. Darrell was retired from Keebler Company where he was District Sales Manager. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Darrell enjoyed time with his family, playing golf, watching football, listening to Gospel music, and fellowshipping with his church family at Immanuel Baptist. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth Turner, son Rick Turner, parents Dewey and Lula Hawthorne Turner, siblings James Turner, Bessie Witten, Dale Turner, Eloise Bledsoe, and Kay Worley. He is survived by children Debbie Price and Kip Turner (Laura); sisters Mary Salmons, Karen Hughes, and Sharon Morris; grandchildren Marla Krak (Steve), Brad Turner (Johanna), Leslie Cleveringa (Eric), Halle Turner, Josh Turner, Jason Price (Stacey), and Jami Price; great-grandchildren Kristen Krak, Aaron Krak, Bradley Krak, Connor Cleveringa, Grayson Price, Jordan Turner, and Brayden Turner; and many nieces and nephews with special mention of dear nieces Jackie Oxley (Rod), Carolyn Campbell (Wayne), and Diann Hickey (Willie). The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kathleen Kearney Gray, Dr. Robert Jantz, the gals at Tennessee Oncology, and the staff at Gentiva Hospice.
