Obituary of Betty Williams

Betty Williams, age 79 of Goodletsville, passed away Wednesday February 3, 2016. Funeral Service will be Saturday February 6th at Friendship Baptist Church, 501 Flat Ridge Road, Millersville, TN, AT 1:00 P.M., with Bro. Calvin Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, with Wayne Dodd, Ronnie Smith, Matthew McBrayer, Freddie Ayers, Kirt Ayers, and Jason Sloan serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday February 5th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin and Saturday February 6th at Friendship Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Williams was born July 12, 1936 in Old Hickory, TN, to the late James Aubrey Russell and Mandy Miller Russell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Johnny Williams; great granddaughter, Olivia Anne Dodd; brothers, William “Buck” Russell, Wendell Russell, and Bobby Russell; and sister, Louise Buck. She is survived by daughters, Sally Ayers (Freddie) of Springfield, TN, and Kathy McBrayer (James) of Phoenix, AZ; sister Etta Sue Sloan (Bill) of New Johnsonville, TN; 7 grandchildren, Angel Thomas, Wayne Dodd (Kimberly), Matthew McBrayer, Ronnie Smith (Casie), Alan McBrayer, Kirt Ayers (Lisa), and Christie Ayers; and 17 great-grandchildren.
