Obituary of Jane Lane Jones

In Loving Memory Jane Lane Jones, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2016. She was born in Spartanburg, SC, on July 25, 1936, and grew up in Gadsden, AL. She lived on Lookout Mountain for 42 years before moving to Hendersonville to be close to her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Lane Jones Melendy and Rebecca Gailmard Robinson, her grandchildren, Collier, Kilgore, Jane-Ashe, Lily, Abbott, and Madison, and son-in-law Randall Robinson. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the community for her sassy Southern charm and class. She was preceded in death by her father Walter Austin Lane, her mother Jane Sikes Lane Hodges, her step-father Samuel Edward Hodges, and her husband Madison Jones IV. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, from 2 to 4 PM at Church of Our Saviour in Gallatin, TN, with service to follow. A memorial will be held afterward at the church.
